Rising Sun Comics is excited to announce that Surgeon X #1 arrives in San Diego Wednesday! I haven’t read this comic yet, but any comic project that has Karen Berger’s name attached to it has to be awesome!

I just listened to yet another great Off Panel podcast interview over at sktchd.com by the always spectacular David Harper featuring writer Sara Kenney and legendary founding Vertigo editor Karen Berger and it motivated me to blog about what is sure to be amazing first issue! You really should listen to the interview so that you can better appreciate the passion and research that has gone into this book. I am sure Image Comics has served us up yet another quality comic to enjoy.

Be aware that the first issue is already sold out from the publisher and we are limiting each customer to only 1 copy so that as many fans as possible get a chance to read this book. I highly recommend you call and reserve a copy today.

To find out more about this exciting comic check out the Surgeon X website here. This comic even has original app that will release on Wednesday as well.

Surgeon X is a new comic book series published by Image Comics. Set against the backdrop of an antibiotic apocalypse in near future London, Rosa Scott, a brilliant and obsessive surgeon becomes Surgeon X, a vigilante doctor who uses experimental surgery and black market drugs to treat patients.
